Shibui 18 Year Sherry Cask Matured Japanese Whisky
This story begins from a distillery built in 1952 on the southern tip of the Japanese Islands of Okinawa. This single grain whisky made entirely of rice provides a distinguished taste profile and is aged 100% in Spanish Sherry casks for a minimum of 18 years.
The nose shows great brown sugar and sweetness, nice malty notes and is steady, slightly complex and quite tempting. The palate brings forth some terrific woody notes, flavors of dark fruit, toffee and nuts. If you enjoy sherry, then this is a must-try. It explodes in your mouth on the first sip.
