Founded in 1825 by brothers, Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, the Talisker distillery was initially a flop. In 1880 its fortunes changed
when Roderick Kemp and Alexander Allen purchased the distillery and drove it into a success, eventually to be purchased by Diageo.
Fast forward to 1998 when Talisker was promoted to a founding member of the Classic Malts Selection of Diageo, upping the
offerings to 57?orth, Storm, Dark Storm, and Port Ruighe. It is now one of Diageo's most important single malt brands. Winner of the
Best Single Malt Scotch (Islands) at the 2015 International Whisky Competition, Talisker Storm Single Malt has been described as "an
intense and vibrant whisky. Well balanced waves of smoke and sweetness."
