The Distillers Edition brings new dimensions of taste exploration to the enjoyment of this Single Malt Whisky. The Master Distiller selects a small number of casks for double maturing in Oloroso Seasoned American Oak, which is chosen to complement the unique character of the Malt Whisky.
Exceptionally smooth and full of flavor the Distillers Edition of Dalwhinnie is richly satisfying, taking on the aromatic and tropical notes for the Oloroso Sherry. Fruity notes of banana of fresh apricots and walnuts. Smooth, creamy, and coating the palate, the honey-sweet flavor notes give way to nutmeg, and more fruity hints of peach.
The finish is attractively sweet and malty with a lingering vanilla-rich spice.
