Doc’s alter ego rye whiskey finished in rum casks uses a blend of two distinctly different rye whiskeys as its base spirit and after numerous releases the team at Doc’s thought we should release this delicious blend of straight rye whiskeys to better share our process with you. Using a unique method of blending developed by Jesse Parker, Doc’s Master Blender, called “blending to proof” allows emphasis on flavor and viscosity while maintaining a cask strength statement. You’ll find this blend of rye whiskeys lingers on the palate, bringing aromas and notes of vanilla, poached pears, cinnamon apple pie crust, and toasted oak.
