Based on Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin, the Riesling-infused Saar Quince owes its name to the Royal Prussian District Forester Ferdinand Gelts, the historical figure who also co-founded the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers' group. Carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the steep shale slopes of the Saarbuger Rausch and over 30 finely balanced botanicals taken from the vineyards and our own cultivation are macerated with highly aromatic quince fruits from our trees behind the distillery.
