We aged our 4-year-old blend of straight rye whiskies in an Orchid Cellar Meadery and Winery’s “Monk” mead barrel for an additional 22 months. This particular 59-gallon barrel originally held mead flavored with rose petals, lemon zest, and other botanicals. We were able to pull these subtle flavors along with lush honey and piquant spice into our rye whiskey. This is our third release in Collaboration with Orchid Cellar, a partnership we hope continues for years to come.
