In the North, farmers grew rye leading to a distinct style known as Maryland Rye Whiskey and by the early 1900s there were over 50 distilleries operating in Maryland with an output that rivaled that of Kentucky. This Maryland Heritage Series pays homage to many of the great Maryland Distilleries and its storied past.
