As the Capital of Dublin is affectionately known as ‘The Big Smoke’ and is synonymous with the iconic Poolbeg chimneys that dominate its skyline, it’s the perfect representation for our Cask Strength Bottling of our Blackpitts Peated Single Malt. This unique bottling is Dublin distilled at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery and matured exclusively in ex-Bourbon casks before being bottled at 56.5% with no chill filtration. This creates a truly unique taste of savoury BBQ smoke, fresh fruits and maple syrup sweetness, creating an unconventional Irish whiskey of true character.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Distinct bonfire smokey earthiness with underlying hints of orchard fruit and maple syrup
Taste: Charred apple and pear fruit notes are interwoven with vibrant peat smoke, salt and lavender
Finish: Dry wood spice fades to a long smokey, savoury finish
